Iran Rejects Trump’s Claims on Uranium Transfer, Hormuz Status; Calls Remarks ‘False

However, US-Iran relations have again come under strain as Tehran has vehemently rejected remarks made recently by US President Donald Trump about their country’s nuclear program and the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian authorities have described Trump’s remarks as baseless and false, rejecting any claim that their country had promised to send uranium to America or keep the Strait of Hormuz open at all times.

Iran Denies Uranium Transfer Claims

The Iranian Foreign Ministry clarified that there is no agreement for transferring uranium enrichment, which refuted the claim by Trump that both parties have come close to a deal.

It was stressed that the Iranian stockpile of uranium is sovereign territory and would never be transferred in any way.

Previously, Trump stated that the U.S. and Iran could work together on recovering and transferring uranium based on an agreement. However, Iran considered this claim false information intended to influence people’s thinking.

Strait of Hormuz: Conditional Stability, Not a Guarantee

As far as the question of the Strait of Hormuz is concerned, Iran responded to Trump’s claim by saying that it is not certain for now if the strait will remain unaffected.

Iran made it clear that its status depends on many geopolitical issues, including the military activities of the U.S. forces in the region, which have resulted in a blockade.

If Washington’s pressure continues, it was stated that the Strait of Hormuz will definitely close.

“Seven Claims, Seven Lies”: Tehran’s Sharp Rebuttal

This may have been among its boldest attacks on Trump to date, where it said he was lying about several facts related to the talks and the region.

The Iranian officials apparently called his remarks “seven lies in one hour.” They dismissed his claim of a ceasefire, as well as nuclear and maritime assurances.

Iran also denied suggestions that it agreed to end its nuclear program or make any breakthrough with the Americans.

Global Implications and Market Reactions

Trump’s earlier remarks had briefly raised hopes of de-escalation, even influencing global oil prices. However, Iran’s firm denial has reintroduced uncertainty into energy markets and diplomatic circles.

Experts warn that conflicting narratives from Washington and Tehran highlight the fragile nature of current negotiations, with no confirmed agreement in place
